Halawa Valley ends in a remote canyon on Moloka’i on the shore of a deep pool with a series of waterfalls cascading down the mountain from Kamakou Preserve. The roar of the falls, cooling water and sweltering jungle offer a presence that words fail.

I paint in the studio from photographs that I take while exploring places I’ve lived.
