Suzy Locke, a wonderful art dealer and consultant found me in a derelict art studio, complete with bullet holes in the building, in Oakland in 1990. She hung my first art show at the Bank of America Plaza in downtown San Francisco. Projects I’ve done with Suzy over 30 years include a mural of fish for Yankee Pier in the United Terminal at SFO and paintings for Lark Creek Restaurant Group and Kaiser Hospitals. Marvin Cohen, Suzy’s husband, is a physicist who describes universal phenomena in a language incomprehensible to most of us.
Suzy and I stenciled his famous equations on the walls of their guest bathroom. Thank you Suzy for good times, commissions that kept me solvent and the confidence you inspired over the many years we worked together.
